

Infosys has announced the appointment of Ashish Kumar Das as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective April 1, 2027. He will succeed Salil Parekh after the completion of his second term on March 31, 2027. Das, a veteran with over three decades at Infosys, currently serves as the Global Head of the Diverse Business Portfolio and leads the company's Sustainability Business. An IIT Kharagpur alumnus, he has also completed executive leadership programs at Stanford University and London Business School.
Under Salil Parekh's leadership, Infosys expanded significantly in digital and AI services, doubling its revenue from $10 billion to $20 billion despite navigating multiple industry challenges. The company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹7,769 crore for the June quarter, up 12.2% year-on-year, while revenue rose 14% to ₹48,211 crore. Infosys has revised its FY2026-27 revenue growth guidance to 1.5–3%, retained its operating margin outlook at 20–22%, announced salary hikes from October and January, hired 4,000 fresh graduates during the June quarter, and plans to recruit 20,000 campus hires this fiscal year. Around 80,000 employees are now using AI coding tools across the organization.
